Meet Your Instructor – Beng Sensei / インストラクター紹介 – ベン先生

Hello! My name is Beng, and I am from Singapore. I studied in the United States and have been working as a university lecturer in Japan. I specialize in Breaking and Hip Hop dance, but I have also trained in House, Popping, and Jazz.
I have had wonderful opportunities to learn from dancers in Singapore, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Tokyo, gaining exposure to the beauty and diversity of dance. My experience includes dancing and choreographing for international performances, events, and music videos.
In 2024, I pioneered the first Hip Hop dance and English education project at a Japanese university and have published research on Hip Hop culture and education in international journals.
In my classes, I aim to build a warm and supportive community where students can connect heart to heart. I am passionate about sharing a global approach to dance and helping students build confidence in both their dancing and English communication skills.

こんにちは！私はシンガポール出身のベン先生です。アメリカで学び、日本では英語の大学教授をしています。私のメインジャンルはブレイクとヒップホップですが、ハウス、ポップ、ジャズも学んできました。
シンガポール、ロサンゼルス、サンディエゴ、東京で世界中のダンサーから学び、ダンスの美しさと多様性に触れる機会に恵まれました。また、国際的な公演、イベント、ミュージックビデオでの振付や出演経験があります。
2024年には、日本の大学で初のヒップホップダンスと英語教育プロジェクトを立ち上げ、ヒップホップ文化と教育に関する研究を国際学術誌で発表しています。
私のレッスンでは、心と心がつながるコミュニティを築くことを目指しています。世界中のダンスドリルやトレーニングを共有し、ダンスと英語のコミュニケーションスキルの両方で自信を育むことをしたいと思います！
